I had never held a loaded gun prior to taking the beginning pistol classes (Complete Pistol 1 & 2) from Expert Firearms Training. "They took me from Zero to Hero in 16 hours"I had a great time and learned a ton. They are very patient, experienced and knowledgeable. They were open to all good and dumb questions. After taking these classes, I could not imagine owning a gun without learning this vital information. I learned about safety, pistol parts, safe gun handling, malfunctions, fundamentals of marksmanship, aiming, how to clean the gun and more. Great Classes.

These guys are legit!!! I mean they are The Best of the Best. Each with over 20 years experience (and some for much longer) in SWAT and Sniper expertise and as law enforcement firearms training instructors. Read the OUR STAFF section, it is such a privilege to be taught by them.

I took the Phase One Training (Complete Pistol 1 & 2) which was a full 2 days in a row. The improvement and level of comfort from the end of the first day, compared to the end of the second day was huge, so both full days are necessary and well worth it.

The instructors were amazing at making sure everyone was acting safe and felt safe.

Roy, Nick and Andy are probably the coolest guys on Earth, very down to Earth, highly skilled, excellent instructors and all around great guys. I will, for sure, be taking their next level training course (Bravo Tactical Pistol) in the near future, 🙂

These guys are the best! They will turn a novice into an expert! It was awesome training, getting taught by SWAT Team veterans. Learn from the best! I can't wait to attend Bravo Tactical Pistol Training.

I recently took the 4-hour CCW Recertification course with Roy. I had a great time  of learning and training with him. I've been to many shooting classes and courses with the "Big Name" trainers in the industry. These classes were in Arizona, Oregon, Las Vegas and sometimes when the pros traveled out to California. We started out in the classroom where much of the material that he taught was new to me. Then we spent several hours out on the range. Roy was able to push me out of my comfort zone with well thought out shooting drills. He shared some of his personal real world experiences with me, which made me a better informed and now a more confident student of the craft. I train every week and as previously mentioned , have attended many high level training courses. I consider myself to be very good at this craft, and I was still able to learn more from Roy.

I enjoyed all of it, from the beginning to the end. I felt very comfortable and at ease, because of the instructor's personality and complete understanding of all the topics. My endless questions were always answered graciously and knowledgeably. It was a great mix of history, gun safety and usage, rules, humor and hands on teaching. I definitely recommend the Complete Pistol course to anyone interested in pistol instruction. It is the first of several classes that I plan on attending to increase my knowledge and proficiency in pistol ownership and responsible safety procedures. Thank you gentlemen, for your service, expertise and dedication to this subject.

I took this class to learn about firearms safety and how to shoot. When I first went to this class, I had never even picked up a gun before. Now, I feel like Dirty Harry. I was apprehensive at first, but they put me at such ease that I'm now comfortable handling guns. When we stepped into the I was like "Okay I'm comfortable with handling guns now, but I'm scared to actually shoot one". Again they totally helped me and walked me through everything and were right by my side the first time I shot a gun. They keep their class sizes small so that they can give complete attention when needed which is wonderful for a class like this. The second day we did more shooting and Andy was super encouraging and really made me feel even more shooting. When I needed to correct my shots, they had ample advice to give. Let me just say that thanks to this class, I feel comfortable and confident with firing and handling guns. Thank you so much Roy and Andy for helping me build confidence and knowledge with guns.

I did some One-On-One training with Roy recently and I can not say enough good things about the experience. Roy is a very nice guy who worked with my busy schedule and he allowed me to do one day and then come in the next week (the course is usually back to back days) to do the second day. He is incredibly accommodating  and I appreciate that. I drove from San Jose to Tracy to get my training done from Roy and honestly, I would fly long distances just to receive training from this team.

If I could give Expert Firearms Training 10 stars, I would. If you want personalized, dedicated training, then look no further. As a Law Enforcement Officer training was everything. When I slipped in my skills, I slipped hard. I turned to Expert Firearms Training. Not only did they help me improve, but I re-qualified in the high 90%!!!! Being trained by former Law Enforcement was perfect, as they understood exactly what I needed. I now meet up with Roy monthly. Each time we practice fine tuning my accuracy and speed skills. After 16 years of shooting, it has actually become fun for me!!!!
Ladies: Don't be intimidated if you want to learn proper firearms management. They take the time to make sure you understand what you are learning. Each session is different. and they can tailor training to your individual needs.
So to recap:Are you in Law Enforcement? Call The Experts.Want to learn basic firearm skills? Call The Experts.Want your family members and children to learn basic firearm skills? Call the Experts.

I am absolutely amazed with the class that I had with Roy. First off, I was supposed to be in a class with a family of 4, but they ended up re-scheduling at the last minute. Instead of canceling my class due to having only me, Roy kept the class and didn't care that I was the only student. Roy is so energetic and really shows his passion for firearms. His lessons are well thought out and easy to follow. As a new person who had never held a firearm before I was really nervous coming into this class. His hands on instruction in the classroom really helped me overcome my nerves and feel confident when we got into the range. When it came to the range training, Roy helped me understand what I needed, to correct my aim and relax. I walked in never firing a gun before, but by the end of the second day being able to shoot groups 2" wide (maybe even smaller). After completing the second day of training, I feel like I am prepared and comfortable with my firearm. Thank you Roy for an amazing class!! I will be back for the advanced Bravo Tactical pistol training.

As a former Marine, and hopeful competition shooter, I had some understanding of the fundamentals for pistol shooting. A lot of what I realized while taking the Bravo Tactical Pistol course with the Experts, was that while I had a few minor bad habits, I got in my own way more than necessary. They suggested that attend a Bravo class as I was not brand new to the weapon system. They taught me things that helped and had me leaps and bounds ahead of where I was hours earlier. I was quite shocked at how good I did with the different "front sight only" and "no sight" drills. They are all great guys and very good instructors and they have the experience to back it up as well. They had me thinking outside the box and they pushed me while working with my strengths as well. They did not try to re-train some things that I had learned prior, however they helped me adapt them into the training, as long as it was safe of course.I know I will definitely be back and already have friends asking where, where, where?Trust me on this, for the price and skills offered, you are a fool not to take their courses. Other training companies cost even more and here you can receive one-on-one instruction with absolute SWAT Experts, while that is not going to be the case with other training facilities.
UPDATE, Rifle Training: After taking the bravo Tactical pistol course (which by the way, I highly recommend) I decided to take the Basic Rifle course and two Advanced Rifle courses. As a marine who qualified "Rifle Expert", and having shot out to 1,000 yards, I figured it would at least be fun to be in "my element", being a cocky, "Type A" personality, and of course and having the ego of a Marine. However I got the chance to work with Roy, Jerry and Nick and with their 60+ years experience as SWAT Team Snipers and SWAT Team Leaders. Sure I knew some things, and yes I shot pretty good, but they pushed me farther than I ever pushed myself. They had me shooting tighter groups and got me shooting much faster than ever.Being a "bolt gun" guy (fan), I figured that a "semi auto gas gun" wouldn't hold up as accurate as my custom bolt rifle. Well, it was The Experts who showed me just how accurate, and fast they can be. They had me doing rapid fire and rapid target acquisition drills that had me pushing my abilities and breaking into new territory. I feel truly honored to have worked with these three Experts and to now know them on a deeper level than just student and teacher. Don't be foolish and miss your opportunity to train with these Experts.

My dad and I took the beginner's pistol course and we loved it so much, we plan to continue our training with the Bravo Tactical Pistol course next. Roy was our instructor and he is great. He is very patient, kind and funny. His many years of service as a police officer working a K9, a multi-city SWAT Team and a Firearms Instructor, he is able to provide you with invaluable training and personal insight. He made sure we received the most out of our time and answered all our questions. He made us feel at ease and we are 100% confident with the training we received. You definitely get what you pay for and more! Best dad & daughter day yet!

If you are looking for professional, expert, firearms training then look no further because these guys are it!! I recently had the privilege of attending EFT's two-day beginning handgun training (Complete Pistol 1 & 2) and I must say it's the best decision that I could have made is choosing this beginning course. Prior to this class, my experience was very limited and I wanted be taught the basics prior to making a firearms purchase. Both Roy and Andy were perfect for my learning type. They assisted each student individually and as a class and brought us up to a much higher level of competence than when we first started. To watch the transformation in all of us within such a short time was exceptional. The overall course was 16 hours and every hour was purposeful, informative and FUN. The time flew by and it was better than I had hoped. I am very much looking forward to taking more courses with EFT!!

I needed to get my CCW training done and they happened to have a class the next day, which was great. Captain Nick was our instructor and being a former SWAT Team Commander, he was able to give us  an improved understanding of some high pressure situations we might encounter, how our bodies would react, and how to work around those conditions. Further more, ample time was used in properly presenting a firearm from a concealed position, what we should say, and that it is always better to avoid the situation is possible.

I can't stress this enough, these SWAT guys are legit and worth every penny.

These guys are the best! They will turn a novice into an expert. It was awesome training to be taught by SWAT veterans.

Learn from the best. I can't wait for my Bravo Tactical class.

My Expert instructor was awesome. The class was fun and very helpful, after the 2-day class I now feel confident on how to handle and operate my firearm safely. I will continue to sign up for more classes with this company. I suggest Expert Firearms Training classes to everyone.

I just finished the 1-day Basic Shotgun course taught by Roy and it was excellent.  It was great information for a beginner and he explained everything I wanted to know about my shotgun. The safety rules were reiterated throughout, so I feel like I can safely handle the shotgun and can show others as well. It was very fun putting it all into practice with some Trap shooting as well. Looking forward to taking more classes. Thanks, Experts.

I just completed my 2-day beginning pistol class with Roy and Jerry and the class was so rewarding. Several years ago I had taken a "Ladies" class with a different training company. It was a large group, that I didn't get much one-on-one training. With the Expert's courses, the class sizes were small, so we got lots of hands on instruction by 2 super experienced, very patient instructors working with us. I think 2 days of training is a MUST. Now I feel 100% confident going back to the range by myself and shooting. I highly recommend the training that Expert Firearms Training is offering to anyone.

 It was invaluable to me.

Let me start with, this is a must class for anyone who wants to become knowledgeable about guns and feel safe handling one. I attended the 2-day Complete Pistol 1 & 2 course that was taught by Expert Firearms Training with instructors Roy Bryson and Jerry Peters, at Elite Armory Plus shooting range. First off, the instructors are amazing. Their patience is remarkable. No question is stupid, they want to make sure you are comfortable. The individual attention they give you to make sure you are shooting correctly is amazing. I highly recommend this 2-day class. While one day of instruction is great, when you leave after day 2, you will be amazing. Day 2 is such a big difference. I received so many great tips, I'm looking forward to my next time at the range to start using them. What a great team of instructors, thank you for a memorable experience.

I have never left a review for a business on any platform until now! So congratulations guys, you have broken a streak. As a former weapons & munitions and an anti-terrorism instructor for the United States Navy, I have seen all types of instructors; some are great and some just go through the motions. However, I can honestly say that these guys are some of the Greatest.

You can tell these guys love what they do, which makes a massive difference in the quality of instruction you receive. They give real-world examples of how they used the lessons they provide in class during their careers as SWAT Team Leaders and Team Commander. Not only was the classroom instruction some of the best I have had the honor of going through, but their range time took my current skill set to the nest level.

The drills they put me through are like none I've ever seen. They kicked my ass way outside my comfort zone. However, three and a half hours and 500 rounds of range time later, I was back in it, shooting the tightest groups I have ever put down range.

They say "you get what you pay for", and I can honestly say that you are paying for the best at Expert Firearms Training! I will be registering for more classes and have recommended that my wife does the same.

Thank you Roy, and I'll see you and your staff on the range.

I recently had the pleasure of training with Expert Firearms Training and it was an absolutely transformative experience. Not only did I improve my shooting skills, but I also gained a much deeper understanding of how to handle myself in a deadly situation. These Experts focus on shooting from the holster on the move, rapid point shooting under duress, and developing a combat mentality truly set this training apart from other courses I've done in the past.

What really made this training stand out was the emphasis on situational awareness and how to make it actionable. This framework has already proven invaluable in my day-today life and has given me the confidence to handle any situation that may come my way.

I've trained with SWAT team personnel before. (Paul told me in class) "THERE WAS NO COMPARISON"This was by far the most comprehensive and effective training I've received.

I can't recommend The Experts enough for anyone looking to improve their skills and gain a deeper understanding of personal protection.

I  just recently completed my CCW training with Expert Firearms Training. My expectations were high, they managed to exceed all of them. They have a great sense of responsibility over their training and will not send you out with a mindset, or skillset that will fail. Not only do The Experts have the skills, and the real world experience, but they have the ability to break them down simply and teach them to us easily. The smaller class sizes allows Roy and his Team to give each student direct instruction individually. They  improved my shooting ability exponentially  and I'm looking forward to expending those skills more over by taking the Bravo Tactical Pistol courses with Roy and his Team.

Thank you Roy, and I look forward to learning a great deal more from you and The Team.

I recently had the opportunity to take EFT's Bravo class and jumped at it. Firearms are my profession and I practice weekly. But I was hungry for a chance to improve at combat shooting. Roy and Nick were awesome at giving one-on-one instruction to each person in the class, pushing me to my failure point, then coaching me to work through them.  As a bonus, they shared some great stories about their 40 years combined experience on SWAT. I improved more in that one day than a year of practicing solo. I will definitely be taking more classes with The Experts in the future and would recommend them to anyone who wants to learn from real professionals.

As a certified firearms instructor, personal protection specialist, and security company owner, I can say Roy and his team at Expert Firearms Training are real experts. My team of firearms instructors just attended  a 2 day instructor course and the results were insane. Roy's team are all experienced instructors that were able to share their real life experiences and knowledge to make me a better shooter.

The small class sizes meant that every member of our team was able to get dedicated instructors working with them while we were on the range. Their experience gave them the ability to identify problems as minimal as grip pressure (shoutout to Sam for picking this one up) and help me understand both what I can improve on and how to improve, it was priceless.

Highly recommend anyone from the first time shooter to instructors with tons of trigger time to give Roy a call. I'm looking forward to training with these guys in the future.
