Classes are scheduled in response to student requests and are intentionally limited in size. Enrollment is capped at five students, typically with two instructors to ensure close supervision and individual coaching.
Most handgun training courses are conducted in Tracy, California, at Elite Armory Plus, located at 7601 11th Street, Tracy. We have trained at this facility for many years and value its professional environment. Elite Armory Plus provides a full-service gun store, indoor shooting range, and classroom space, allowing instruction to be conducted efficiently and safely in one location.
Rifle and shotgun training is conducted at United Sportsmen Inc. (USI), located at 4700 Evora Road, Concord. USI also serves as the primary location for many of our Advanced Defensive Handgun Training courses, offering the space and facilities required for advanced instruction.
We are often asked which handgun course a student should attend. In most cases, the appropriate starting point is our Beginning Handgun Training, a comprehensive two-day course focused on safety, proper handling, and the fundamental skills required for accurate shooting.
Beginning Handgun Training covers critical topics such as safe loading and unloading, firearm operation, and core shooting fundamentals. This course is designed to build a strong foundation and ensure students are confident and safe before advancing.
Our Advanced Handgun Training courses are one-day classes intended for students who are already very comfortable with firearm safety rules and handling. These courses review safety principles briefly but do not cover basic firearm operation. Instead, instruction focuses on applying established fundamentals to defensive and personal protection shooting skills.
To maintain a safe and productive training environment, we prefer students with developing skills to attend the beginning course rather than entering advanced training prematurely. When appropriate, instructors can incorporate more advanced range instruction into the beginning course for students who demonstrate higher skill levels.
