        6: Long-Range Rifle Precision & Ballistics Training Long Range Rifle                                        One-on-One Professional Training

1: BEGINNING HANDGUN TRAINING

16 Hours | Two Days | $600

This two day course is designed for new handgun owners and shooters with little or no formal training who want to build a safe, solid foundation from the start.

Students learn:

  • Firearms safety and safe handling
  • How handguns function
  • Proper loading and unloading
  • Correct grip, stance, and trigger control
  • Fundamentals of accurate shooting
  • Basic handgun care and cleaning
     

Classes are intentionally small typically 2–5 students with one experienced instructor for every two students, allowing for constant supervision and individual coaching.


Our instructors are career law enforcement firearms instructors with decades of experience. Training is patient, professional, and focused on building confidence and correct habits.


No prior experience required.

1: BEGINNING RIFLE TRAINING

Basic Rifle, or AR15 Carbine Training: 

8 Hours - $300

Basic Rifle Training

This course provides a structured introduction to high-powered rifles and is designed for students who want to build a solid foundation in safe and effective rifle use.

Students will learn:

  • Rifle safety and safe handling procedures
  • Rifle operation and ammunition fundamentals
  • Fundamentals of rifle accuracy
  • Proper bench-rest shooting position


Instruction is presented by experienced rifle instructors with extensive SWAT and sniper team backgrounds, bringing decades of professional and instructional experience to the course.

Rifles equipped with open sights are permitted in this class. Red-dot optics, or scopes are strongly recommended for the basic course and are required for all advanced rifle training.

Students are responsible for providing a clean rifle and all required factory ammunition. Reloaded or hand-loaded ammunition is not permitted. Rifle rentals are available for students who do not yet own a rifle.

Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure individual coaching and close supervision. Courses are conducted as scheduled and are not canceled due to low enrollment. Instruction is delivered in a calm, structured manner, allowing students to fully understand each skill before progressing.

1: BEGINNING SHOTGUN TRAINING

Basic Shotgun Training: 

6 Hours - $300

This course provides new shotgun owners with a structured introduction to safe and effective shotgun use. Instruction focuses on shotgun safety, operation, ammunition selection, accuracy fundamentals, proper standing position, and basic cleaning and storage.

As part of the course, students participate in a guided round of trap shooting. Introducing trap shooting early allows new students to focus on target tracking and proper technique rather than recoil, helping build confidence and consistency.

Trap fees and one box of shells are included in the course tuition.

Instruction is delivered in a controlled, professional environment designed to help new shooters learn safely and confidently.

1: 8-HOUR HANDGUN REFRESHER CLASS

Refresher Pistol Training (Returning Students):

8 Hours - $300

This one-day refresher course is available exclusively to students who previously completed our two-day Beginning Handgun Training.

The course is designed for returning students who would like to review fundamentals, rebuild confidence, and spend focused time on the range. Instruction revisits core safety principles and shooting fundamentals, with individualized coaching provided throughout the day.

As with all our courses, training is delivered in small classes with close instructor supervision, allowing for immediate feedback and correction.

This course is open only to returning students of Expert Firearms Training.

2: ADVANCED HANDGUN TRAINING

Defensive Handgun Series

8 Hours per Course | $300

The Defensive Handgun Series is designed for intermediate and advanced shooters who want to apply solid handgun fundamentals to realistic defensive use in a structured, professional environment.

This training focuses on practical defensive skills applicable to personal protection, whether for law enforcement professionals, CCW holders, or responsible citizens preparing to defend themselves, or their families.

Course Structure

Defensive Handgun training is offered as a series of standalone 8-hour courses. Each course introduces new skills while reinforcing techniques learned in previous sessions.

Students may:

  • Attend a single course (Defensive Handgun #1)
  • Progress through multiple courses
  • Advance at a pace appropriate to their skill level

Each course builds on prior instruction, allowing students to develop consistency, control, and confidence over time.

Who This Training Is For

The Defensive Handgun Series is well suited for:

  • Law-enforcement officers and recruits
  • CCW permit holders or those pursuing a permit
  • Experienced civilian shooters seeking advanced defensive skills

Students must demonstrate safe gun handling and solid fundamentals, or have recently completed our two-day Beginning Handgun Training, prior to enrollment.

Courses are taught by career law enforcement firearms instructors with decades of experience, including extensive SWAT backgrounds. This experience shapes how drills are structured, how safety is maintained, and how skills are taught under realistic conditions.

Training is challenging but professional, emphasizing clarity, discipline, and correct execution rather than speed or volume.

2: ADVANCED RIFLE TRAINING

Advanced Rifle Training 

8 Hours | $300

This course is designed for shooters who want to improve precision and consistency with a scoped rifle through a structured combination of classroom instruction and supervised range work.

Classroom instruction covers:

  • Understanding bullet drop and wind drift
  • Reading wind conditions
  • Scope adjustments
  • MOA versus MILs
  • Applying ballistic concepts to real-world shooting

On the range, students work on accuracy from multiple shooting positions, including:

  • Bench-rest
  • Standing
  • Seated
  • Kneeling
  • Prone 

Range instruction emphasizes correct technique, position building, and consistent execution under the guidance of an experienced instructor with sniper team leadership experience.

Equipment Requirements

Students are responsible for providing:

  • A clean, scoped rifle
  • Factory ammunition only (no reloads or hand loads)

Rifles must be sighted in prior to class (minimum confirmation on paper at 100 yards).

Instructional Approach

Training is delivered in a calm, structured environment with close instructor supervision, allowing students to fully understand and apply each concept before progressing.

3: CCW CERTIFICATION COURSES

CCW Training & Certification

16-Hour Initial Training & Certification | $600
8-Hour Renewal / Re-Certification | $300

Our Concealed Carry (CCW) courses are designed for individuals who understand the responsibility of carrying a concealed firearm and want thorough, professional preparation, not minimal "qualification only" instruction.

Classes are intentionally limited in size to allow for individual coaching, close supervision, and meaningful skill development throughout both classroom and range instruction.

Training Approach

Our CCW program goes beyond simply completing a qualification course. Our students receive 4 full hours of professional coaching on the shooting range and shoot between 500-600 rounds of ammo. Instruction emphasizes safe handling, sound judgment, and practical defensive handgun skills, ensuring students are properly prepared before carrying concealed.

Classroom and range instruction includes:

  • Introduction to concealed carry principles
  • Legal considerations and responsibilities of self-defense
  • Carry methods and concealment options
  • Presenting the handgun from concealment
  • Shooting from varied positions and while moving
  • Special shooting techniques
  • Course review and qualification preparation

Students receive substantial hands-on instruction in drawing from concealment, movement, and defensive shooting concepts, in addition to completing the required qualification course.

Prerequisites & Expectations

CCW training is not intended for beginners. Students must demonstrate:

  • Strict adherence to firearm safety rules
  • Safe handling and operation of their handgun
  • The ability to fire accurately under supervision

Each county requires a shooting qualification, and some jurisdictions require timed courses. Certificates of completion are issued only to students who successfully meet the applicable qualification standards.

Recent completion of our Defensive Handgun Series is recommended, though not required, to ensure readiness for the course.

Equipment Requirements

  • Handguns must be .380 caliber or larger
  • Push-button retention holsters (such as Blackhawk Serpa-style holsters) are not permitted
  • Students must bring appropriate carry equipment suitable for concealed carry training

Instruction & Experience

CCW training is conducted by senior law enforcement firearms instructors, including former SWAT command staff, team leaders, and instructors with decades of professional experience.

Training is delivered in a serious, structured, and professional environment, reflecting the responsibility that comes with concealed carry.

4: Advanced Defensive Handgun

Advanced Defensive Handgun Individual Instruction

This course represents the highest level of defensive handgun instruction offered by Expert Firearms Training and is designed for students who have demonstrated strong defensive fundamentals, consistent safety, and disciplined gun handling.

Advanced Defensive Handgun Individual Instruction focuses on movement, efficiency, and problem solving, requiring students to apply skills with minimal instructor prompting and a high level of personal accountability.

Training Focus

Instruction emphasizes:

  • Drawing and presenting the handgun from concealment under increased demands
  • Shooting while moving and managing positional changes
  • Efficient reload techniques under performance standards
  • Applying defensive skills across varied problems
  • Maintaining accuracy, control, and safety under structured pressure

Steel targets may be incorporated to provide immediate performance feedback, helping students self-correct and refine movement based shooting skills.

Instruction Format

This course is frequently delivered as one-on-one instruction, allowing for:

  • Maximum instructor attention
  • Immediate correction

  • Close safety supervision

The private format also allows instructors to adapt pacing and complexity to the individual student’s demonstrated ability.

Prerequisites & Readiness

This training is intended only for experienced students who have completed multiple Defensive Handgun Training courses or equivalent professional instruction.

Students must demonstrate:

Instructor approval is required prior to enrollment. Active law-enforcement officers may qualify with fewer prerequisites, subject to instructor review.

Advanced Defensive Carbine Training is designed for highly experienced shooters seeking advanced instruction in the defensive use of a rifle or carbine. This course emphasizes movement, positional shooting, accuracy accountability, and integration with the handgun in a structured, professional environment.

Instruction focuses on:

  • Effective carbine use while moving
  • Shooting from varied positions and angles 
  • Transitions between carbine and handgun
  • Managing accuracy and control under increased complexity 
  • Applying fundamentals across realistic defensive problems

Steel targets of varying sizes and distances may be incorporated to provide immediate performance feedback, allowing students to assess accuracy and refine technique during movement-based drills.

This course is often delivered as one-on-one private instruction, allowing for:

Expert Firearms Training provides professional firearms instruction for law-enforcement officers and agencies, delivered through individualized coaching or small-group formats as appropriate.

Our instructors collectively bring more than 160 years of law-enforcement service, with extensive experience as POST-certified firearms instructors, SWAT team members, and leaders. This depth of experience allows us to tailor training to the specific needs of each officer or agency.

6: Long-Range Rifle Precision & Ballistics Training

Long Range Rifle — One-on-One Professional Training

8 Hours of Instruction | $800
(Approximately 11 hours total, including travel time)

This course represents the highest level of rifle instruction offered by Expert Firearms Training and is delivered exclusively as one-on-one professional instruction.

Advanced Rifle — One-on-One Training is designed for experienced shooters who require individualized coaching, precision-focused instruction, and advanced problem-solving with high-powered rifles. Training integrates in-depth classroom concepts with guided range application to refine accuracy, consistency, and disciplined execution.

Instruction is led by a former SWAT Sniper Team Leader with more than 21 years of operational sniper experience, drawing on decades of real-world application and instructional expertise. The skills taught reflect professional standards developed and used in long-term operational environments.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

This course is offered only to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Recent completion of at least one advanced rifle course with Expert Firearms Training
  • Current or former military riflemen or military contractors 
  • Current members of a SWAT or Sniper Team

Instructor approval is required prior to scheduling.

Equipment Requirements

Students are responsible for providing:

  • A clean, scoped rifle in excellent working condition
  • A minimum of 100 rounds of factory match ammunition
    (No reloads or hand-loaded ammunition permitted)

Rifles must be properly sighted in prior to training (100 or 200 yards, as appropriate).

Training Location

This course is conducted in Sacramento County and includes travel time as part of the overall training day.

Instructional Standards

Training is delivered in a structured, disciplined, and professional environment, emphasizing precision, accountability, and consistent execution. The one-on-one format allows instruction to be tailored precisely to the student’s experience level, equipment, and performance goals.
